Every year I receive in my inbox the website domain renewal notice and every year I think, “Yeah… maybe I’ll get to it this year.” Well, beyond the basic design and color scheme, I haven’t done anything with the Sandy Bottom Farm website since I first bought the address.

We’ve had plenty of animals come and go during that time. Honeybees lasted a few years but we, like many beekeepers, found our hives kept dying off during the winter despite our efforts. We have had dry years and wet years, mild winters and absolutely frigid ones. But that’s the way it goes whether you’ve got yourself a large farm or a small one. Or, none at all. Through it all, we’ve kept going, as one does (or two do).

Now, in 2025, I’m publishing the first post of the farm and if you’re going to jump in, it’s with both feet. I hope to post at least quarterly. I’m a terrible social media attendee, despite being a former social media manager, but you can find us on Instagram, here, and at the new Etsy storefront.

Thank you for stopping by.
